Romans 11:33-36
33Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! 34"Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?" 35"Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him?"[ 36For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.
Blog Questions
1. How does it help to think of God as the only one with no limits, measureless?
2. What hope does God’s infinitude (especially in the gift of Christ) give us?

Mike’s Thoughts
It’s good to be reminded that God is infinite, has no boundaries, and is measureless. It helps me to remember in hard times that God works for our good at all times, to make us more like Christ even when we don’t understand it (Romans 8:28-29). The main passage he uses is Romans 11:33-36 and it comes on the tail end of Romans 9-11, which are probably the hardest chapters in the Bible to practically wrap your mind around. Even Paul didn’t understand it and is why he finishes Romans 9-11 with that phenomenal doxology.
When I think of God as measureless and boundless, it helps me to think of all of his attributes as each working infinitely all at the some time. None of them ever less than others. None of them ever more than others. When I struggle to believe that Christ loves me, I remember the limitless gift for eternal life in Jesus and the limitless grace that is available to live my life if I would surrender it to God. Let’s believe God for who he is today!
