John 5:26
26For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself.
Blog Questions
1. How are your thoughts on what you do for God blown away and shaken by God’s lack of needs, his self-sufficiency?
2. How does this truth free you to live by the Spirit, have faith in God, and continue in the midst of hard times?

This is such a beautiful piece of theology. I love it when Tozer says towards the end of the chapter: “This truth…will…lift from our minds the exhausting load of mortality and encourage us to take the easy yoke of Christ and spend ourselves in Spirit-inspired toil for the honor of God and the good of mankind. For the blessed news is that the God who needs no one has in sovereign condescension stooped to work by and in and through His obedient children.” This truth has so allowed me to just enjoy serving God and, though I’m not excited when things don’t go what I think to be God’s way, instead of responding with worry and getting stressed, I respond with faith and trust in a God who is more than capable to do everything that he would expect us to do and wants to help us do everything he wants us to do.
